Mike, The Tipton Family Association of America has existed for about twenty-five years. We have Association meetings at least every other year. The next meeting is scheduled for October 8th, 2011 at Rocky Mount Museum in Piney, Tennessee. I loved reading about the Tiptons.My ancestor Capt Abraham Denton’s sister Martha married John Tipton and I think they had a child.I’ve always wondered if Abraham sided with John Sevier orCol John Tipton in the feud over the State Of Franklin.
